Terms
Last updated October 22, 2026
Kin is operated by Kin Computing, Inc. These are the terms for using it.
Who may use it
People who are 18 or older, for lawful use.
Your account
Your account is yours to keep secure.
What you are responsible for
You are responsible for the accounts you connect, and for what your AI apps do with the access you grant.
Acceptable use
- Do not break into systems you have no right to use.
- Do not abuse the service or the services you connect.
- Do not resell access.
Plans and billing
There is a Free plan and a Pro plan. Pro is billed monthly or yearly through our payment provider. The Pricing page shows each plan's price and what it includes. How a subscription starts is described below.
Subscriptions and renewal
Free trial. A workspace's first Pro subscription, monthly or annual, starts with a 7-day free trial. No card is required to start the trial, and you won't be charged if you cancel before the trial ends. Customers who arrive through a partner's referral link also start with the free trial, and the Pricing page and checkout show any partner discount before they pay.
After the trial, paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or annually, and renew automatically at the then-current price until cancelled. You can cancel anytime in your workspace's settings, under Manage billing. Cancellation takes effect immediately and paid access ends then; partial periods are not prorated (see Refunds). You'll get a receipt by email each time you're charged. If we change prices, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice, and the change applies from your next renewal.
Refunds
If you're not happy with your first monthly payment, email support@kinlab.ai within 7 days of that charge for a full refund. Annual plans can be refunded in full within 14 days of purchase or renewal. Outside those windows, payments are non-refundable and we don't prorate partial periods, except where the law requires otherwise. We always refund duplicate or mistaken charges. Refunds go back to the original payment method.
Fair use and usage limits
Each plan includes the usage shown on the Pricing page. To keep the service reliable for everyone, we also apply reasonable technical limits, including per-request timeouts, maximum response sizes and request-rate limits. Kin is meant for people and their AI apps acting on their behalf. Automated, bulk, or abusive patterns that go well beyond normal use (for example, repeatedly re-reading the same results, scraping, or load testing) aren't covered by your plan. If your usage exceeds these limits, we may slow, queue, or temporarily pause requests. Before taking action beyond that, we'll contact you, where practical, to discuss options such as a different plan. We may suspend accounts that put the service or other customers at risk.
No warranty
The service is provided as is. There is no promise that it is error free or always available. It is an early product run by one person.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Kin Computing, Inc. is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from or related to these terms or the service. Our total liability for all claims arising from or related to these terms or the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the event that gave rise to the claim, or $100. Some places do not allow these limits, so they apply to you only as far as the law that applies to you permits.
Indemnity
You will defend and indemnify Kin Computing, Inc. against claims brought by others, and the losses and reasonable costs that come from them, arising from your content, the accounts you connect, or what you or your AI apps do through the service under the rules you set, except to the extent they are caused by our own breach of these terms.
Suspension
We may suspend an account that harms the service or others.
Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. When we do, we will post the change here.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law rules, except where the law where you live requires otherwise.
Disputes
If you have a dispute with us, email support@kinlab.ai first, and we will try to resolve it informally. If it is not resolved within 30 days, either of us may start arbitration. Disputes are resolved by binding arbitration on an individual basis rather than in court, except that either of us may bring an individual claim in small claims court. Claims may be brought only on an individual basis, not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, collective or representative action. You may opt out of arbitration by emailing support@kinlab.ai within 30 days of first agreeing to these terms; if you opt out, the rest of these terms still apply.
