- Version 2026-10-21.6, in effect since October 21, 2026 (current). A material change. Says that requests and decisions are kept until the workspace is deleted, unless its owners or admins choose a shorter period. Points to your workspace's data settings for current retention periods and describes the short-lived copies of Google content in general terms. Material: starts a new notice and agreement.
- Version 2026-10-21.5, effective October 21, 2026. Retained benefit records changed: Describes the records kept after an account or workspace is deleted by kind and by who they can identify, without listing their fields. Not a material change.
- Version 2026-10-21.4, effective October 21, 2026. Says that Activity details kept from a Google connection stay while a legal hold keeps them, and are deleted once the hold is released, as the app already tells you.
- Version 2026-10-21.3, effective October 21, 2026. A material change. Describes what Kin collects, uses, shares and keeps in general terms. Adds Help improve Kin: a workspace setting that shares data about how Kin is used, which we may use to improve Kin and to train and evaluate the AI models and ranking Kin uses; it may be on by default on Free plans where the law allows, is off on paid plans unless turned on, and anyone can turn it off. Service providers are described by category and listed on the Subprocessors page, so adding or replacing one changes that list, not this policy. Also adds Activity details, workspace retention settings and legal holds, AI processing, processing outside the United States, and counting how AI apps' calls to Kin go in product analytics. Material: starts a new notice and agreement.
- Version 2026-10-21.2, effective October 21, 2026. Vendor list changed: Lists each service provider with a short, general description of what it does for Kin, and the services you choose.
- Version 2026-10-21.1, effective October 21, 2026. Vendor list changed: Separates service providers from the services you choose. Cloudflare now secures, carries and filters all traffic to Kin and serves app downloads, and ranks actions for a search. Google Cloud's line names the database, keys and logs.
- Version 2026-10-20.1, effective October 20, 2026. Adds the notes AI apps can add to their feedback, and the status, resolution note and link that the workspace and Kin staff can give a report, with who reads them and how long they are kept. Names the new Settings pages: Delete account and the Privacy choice are under Settings › Account, and session recordings don't cover Settings. Not a material change: the notice and the Terms stay as they were.
- Version 2026-10-19.1, effective October 19, 2026. Corrected against the code: adds coding agents' permission prompts, shared tasks and bug reports from AI apps, with what each stores, for how long and who reads it. Not a material change: the notice and the Terms stay as they were.
- Version 2026-10-17.1, effective October 17, 2026. A material change. Notice 2026-10-17.1: recordings may show Kin's own reviewed controls on signed-in pages (scope reviewed-controls-v1).
- Version 2026-10-16.1, effective October 16, 2026. A material change. Notice 2026-10-16.1: optional analytics became a versioned choice, with recording scope public-setup-v1.
- Version 2026-10-15, effective October 15, 2026. A material change. The privacy policy and optional analytics prompt of October 15, 2026, before the prompt had a notice version.
